Refilling Bean Bags Furniture

Refilling or filling bean bags needs to be done with care to ensure you don't end up with thousands of polystyrene beads rolling around on your living room floor.

Filling is best done with someone else. To prevent spillage of the beans, you should put the bag containing the beads into the bean bags cover opening. One person should hold the cover open, and the other person should gently pour in the polystyrene beads. It is best to refill bean bags indoors - otherwise even the slightest breeze can scatter the polystyrene beads all over the place. Some people prefer their beanbag to be understuffed, while others like them overstuffed with beads. Your personal preference is important here, but you should bear in mind that if the beanbag doesn't have sufficient polystyrene beads in it, it probably won't be too comfortable and won't provide adequate support. A good rule of thumb is to fill your bean bags to about 15 cm above the wide point of the bag.
